Meet Toni Smith

Coming back to what mattered most.
Toni began her career in cosmetology, drawn to the confidence that personal care can bring. She later moved into technology, spending more than two decades leading teams, building businesses, and serving clients.
The work changed, but her interest in helping people feel their best remained. When she began thinking about her next chapter, she wanted work that felt more personal and connected to caring for people directly.
That idea became Root & Crown. Returning to cosmetology and pursuing specialized education in trichology and scalp wellness gave Toni a new way to bring decades of client care, leadership, and problem-solving into a highly personal one-to-one setting. Today, her approach combines careful scalp observation, professional botanical care, restorative therapies, education, and thoughtful recommendations tailored to each guest.
A deeper understanding of the scalp
Toni’s advanced scalp and trichology education allows her to look beyond surface-level beauty care. Magnified scalp imaging, photographic mapping, client history, extension practices, home-care routines, and visible scalp conditions can all help guide a more individualized wellness approach—and identify when a client may benefit from medical evaluation.
